Michael Joseph the third Michael Brock Junior Research Fellow will be giving the Brock Lecture at 6.00pm on Thursday 9 May, followed by drinks.

Michael Joseph is a historian of the Caribbean and its diaspora in Britain and France. He is currently completing a DPhil at Pembroke College, Oxford which explores the impact of the First World War on ideas about empire and citizenship in the region. His next project, spanning from the 1880s to the mid-twentieth century, will combine this work on Caribbean decolonisation with research interests in theology and the psychology of religion.
